Okay everyone! This Thursday the Young Feminists will be showing the movie, Buffy the Vampire Slayer in honor of Women's History month and what not. We will be selling cookies and popcorn and such there. So, on Thursday, at 7:00 PM come to the little theater at Washington High school and enjoy this fantastic film while munching on some delicious baked goods. The money is going towards Waypoint, which is a shelter for domestically abused people, mostly women and their children. Soo, I sincerely hope I see YOU there!

Women's History Month!

Rosie the Riveter

Frida Kahlo

Annie Oakley

Don't forget about what you're doing on Thursday!

Okay, we have two ideas for the young feminist t-shirt, you all get to vote and tell me which one you like better, or even making suggestions of your own would be fantastic!

First idea: Chuck Norris on the front wearing an apron, and on the back it says "Anyone Can Be a Feminist"

Second idea: The typical evolution shirt (monkey to man) only instead of there being a man at the end, there's a woman! So, it's a monkey evolving into a women!

So, give me some feed back, tell me what you think.

Also, March is Women's history month, so I'm going to try and do some amazing things for your enjoyment.

Somebody sent me a sonnet for Valentine's Day! Soooo, I'm going to share it with you. (The topic is about AP Environmental Science and The Beatles)

My love for you is like the caribou,
who run wild on the artic tundra-free
and unconditional as I am for you
for when I needed HELP! you rescued me.
Your starry eyes, like diamonds in the sky,
radiate gamma rays into my heart,
which pronounce, with photosynthetic sighs,
"I want to hold your hand and never part."
Come, let's go on a Yellow Submarine:
explore the coral reefs and blue lagoons,
through strange seas where fish of tangerine-
that blend within your hair under the moon.
Oh, since the first day of APES began,
I am the walrus and you're my egg-man.

Beeeaauutiful! Now don't you all wish that you'd had a sonnet written for someone?! Soooo, if your still at Wash next year, make sure you have WLP write you a fantastic sonnet.
